Having focused on health sciences and nutrition as an undergrad student as well as developing a personal yoga practice, which she could apply with her patients – she later developed unique treatments bringing all this to the table.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University. Those four years were devoted to extensive study of herbal medicine, acupuncture, and other modalities. In recent years Chinese medicine has become integrated with western allopathic medicine not only in China but increasingly in the U.S. This fact was well represented in the earning of her degree with rigorous training in western medicine – anatomy/physiology, pathophysiology, clinical medicine, pharmacology, etc, as an integral component.
Moving to more recent years, Ms. Fried-Clausen has developed a practice in pain management, stress relief, digestive and respiratory issues, anxiety and addictive behaviors.
Ms. Fried-Clausen has also been working with patient’s skin and muscle tone, doing Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture Aculifts with great success.
On a personal note, Beth-Ellen, a lover of all foods and certified wine specialist, loves interesting wines, walking, hiking and all kinds of art.
Volunteer Activities include continued work as a docent ( tour guide), at LACMA-on the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Docent Council since 1995, and stress/trauma/pain relief work with Acupuncturists Without Borders.
